THE STORY OF GCB
GCB was birthed in the heart of founder Charlie Brown as he traveled in West Africa on a mission trip in November of 2000.
On a lonely African road, Charlie passed village after village that had no visible place of worship for Christian believers.
The first mission trip to Africa, Charlie traveled with an established host missionary to the interior of the country of Niger. As he passed the villages, he asked “Is there a Christian church in these villages?”. The answer was “Not yet.”
Our vision is to have a place of worship within walking distance for every village and also every neighborhood in metropolitan areas. We work in conjunction with the Assemblies of God National Churches in each African country.

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”.
We believe that this is accomplished through the local church. The local church is the place where the Bible is taught, where people fellowship and pray for one another, where marriages, baby dedications, funerals happen. The fellowship of the believers is essential for Christian health.
